Closing Party and Sale

Big changes are happening at the Blue Heron Gallery in Winona. Julie is selling her gallery building and moving her work space back to a new studio at home. She will still be running her art business but minus the public gallery. Her new studio will be called Crozier Studio. The website and e-mail address will stay the same for a while but will transition to Crozier Studio in a few months.

The Blue Heron Gallery will be having a closing sale and party on Sat., Mar. 31, from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. There will be a 10 percent discount on all art until the gallery closes. The final closing will be shortly after the Bluff Country Spring Art Tour which is April 27-29, 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.

Julia will be at the gallery on and off through the end of May but the choice of art merchandise will be very limited after the last weekend in April. Winona Christmas Art Walk

Julia will be one of many artists participating in the Winona Christmas Art Walk, a walking art tour in downtown Winona. The date is Saturday, November 19, from 10 am – 5 pm. Come stop by the Blue Heron Gallery at 168 E. 3rd Street for treats of the artistic and edible kind.

Fifty Artists on Fiftieth Street

Saturday, November 5, from 10 am – 5 pm is the Fifty Artists on Fiftieth Street exhibition in Minneapolis. Julia will be one of the fifty artists displaying their work. The exhibition will be at Buchanan School on 50th Street in Minneapolis. See you there!

New paintings of the Grand Canyon

As a school teacher, I have never been able to experience the Grand Canyon except for in the heat of summer–hardly conducive to a strenuous hike. With free time after my recent deployment, Julie and I were able to enjoy a week exploring the Canyon, hiking from the North Rim to the South Rim with trips in between. Julie has made this trip three times in the past year and a half, and she has developed several large paintings of the Canyon. Of course, webphotos do not do them justice. Come on in and check out the new paintings.
